Tom Hardy is the hardest actor for Americans to understand, study finds

Posted on July 26, 2022 by admin

Tom Hardy has been voted the hardest actor to understand by Americans.

A new survey by Preply, via The Wrap, found that US viewers have a harder time following along with the British actor’s dialogue than any other star.

The Birmingham-set gangster series Peaky Blinders, a show on which Hardy appears as Alfie Solomons, was also voted the show Americans found the hardest to understand.

Hardy’s name was followed by Sofia Vergara, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sean Connery, Johnny Depp, Jackie Chan, Ozzy Osbourne, and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Fans of the actor will know that Hardy can be notoriously difficult to understand in certain roles, known for mumbling or delivering his lines from behind a mask with a heavy accent, as in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.

In 2018, US publicationVulture published an article titled “Tom Hardy Needs to Learn How to Enunciate”. In 2020, Dallas Observer ran

Maverick’ is the ninth-highest grossing domestic movie ever

Posted on July 26, 2022 by admin

“Top Gun: Maverick” took to the skies in late May and hasn’t looked back. Tom Cruise’s latest release is now the ninth-highest grossing movie of all time at the domestic box office.

“Maverick,” the sequel to the hit 1986 film “Top Gun,” has grossed nearly $650 million in the US alone, a feat that has only been accomplished by a handful of other films.

Just last week, “Maverick” blew past 2012’s “The Avengers” to take sole possession of ninth place on the list, and is within striking distance to pass No. 8 “Jurassic World” and seventh place “Titanic,” according to data from Box Office Mojo.

The top 10 highest-grossing movies at domestic box office

  1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936.6M)
  2. Avengers: Endgame ($858.3M)
  3. Spider-Man: No Way Home ($804.7M)
  4. Avatar ($760.5M)
  5. Black Panther ($700.4M)
  6. Avengers; Infinity War ($678.8M)
  7. Titanic ($659.3M)
  8. Jurassic World ($653.4M)
  9. Top Gun: Maverick ($635.5M as of July 25,

Chinese star Jackie Chan produces action movie in Syria filmed amid remnants of ongoing civil unrest – Film & TV

Posted on July 26, 2022 by admin

A ghost town since a 2018 operation to flush out jihadists, Hajar al-Aswad near the Syrian capital has come back to life as the location of a Jackie Chan-produced action movie.

Home Operation is inspired by China’s 2015 evacuation of Chinese and other foreign citizens from the war in Yemen, an operation that was seen as a landmark for Beijing.

Yemen was deemed too dangerous a venue to shoot and some scenes of the film, which is also backed by an Emirati production company, are being shot in Syria, although the script only mentions a fictional country called Poman.

The ruins of Hajar al-Aswad on Thursday filled with a motley crew of actors in Yemeni tribal attire, Syrian extras in uniform and polo-wearing Chinese film crew members.

Jackie Chan is the main producer, although there are no plans for him to visit Syria.

The Moment John Wick’s Director Realized They Made A Great Movie [Comic-Con]

Posted on July 26, 2022 by admin

Moderated by Collider’s Steven Weintraub, the Directors on Directing panel proved to be a treasure trove of fun details and hidden surprises — not least of all featuring Keanu Reeves himself crashing the panel in order to help debut the “John Wick 4” trailer. With /Film’s Jacob Hall in attendance, director Chad Stahelski was asked to pick the biggest “pinch-me moment” of his career. First jokingly alluding to his previous career as a stuntman, specifically when he performed the famous move from “The Matrix” where Keanu Reeves’ Neo performs a cartwheel and picks up a gun during the climactic lobby shootout scene, Stahelski then followed up by pinpointing a much more meaningful set of circumstances.

“The first time we did ‘Wick,’ the first movie, no one had really heard of it. I think we were in Fantastic Fest in Austin (Texas) and I was sitting next to Keanu and we

Keanu Reeves Reveals The Crazy Violent Idea That Inspired His BRZRKR Comic And The Upcoming Netflix Movie

Posted on July 26, 2022 by admin

Keanu Reeves is an actor who is pretty well-versed when it comes to the subject of fictional violence. The man has spent decades playing a wide variety of characters who know how to expertly and efficiently kick an enemy’s ass – from his kung fu moves on display in the Matrix movies to the deadly skills featured in the John Wick series. One thing we’ve never seen him do, however, is rear back his fist and straight-up punch a guy through the chest… but evidently that’s an image that fascinates him on some level, as it was evidently the key idea that inspired his hit new comic book series BRZRKR (an adaptation of which is now in the works at Netflix).

Boom! Studios published the first issue of BRZRKR in March 2021, and it’s been such a massive success that the comic got to host a special Hall
