While investigating his sister’s dying in 16th-century Spain, a person (John Kerr) uncovers grave horrors. Consciously exploitative, the film nevertheless retains an air of authentic environment. This French horror drama takes place in a small seaside village that’s populated exclusively by women and younger boys. When he discovers a corpse in the ocean, young Nicolas reexamines the local environment and its mysterious customs.
Built in 1870, Max and Dani’s house in Salem is still used as a private residence. Albeit, a non-public residence that gets lots of tourist consideration. Located on the tip of a road with no neighbors on three sides, the house is fairly straightforward to identify. Plus, the house owners have stored the unique exterior, including the long-lasting lookout tower and purple-trimmed porch, intact since filming wrapped in 1993.
