America’s largest and longest operating horror movie pageant, Screamfest Horror Film Festival is a nonprofi arts organization dedicated to the support and development of independent filmmakers and screenwriters of the Horror genre. The ten day competition supplies a platform for emerging writers and directors to showcase their work to the business and the horror loving public.
Known as the ‘Sundance of Horror,’ the pageant is best identified for discovering Paranormal Activity in 2007. Other past premieres include 30 Days of Night, Let the Right One In, The Grudge, The Fourth Kind, The Collection, Trick ‘r’ Treat, The Human Centipede and Diary of the Dead.
